"Arizona Summer" is a 'Tom Sawyer' meets the 'City Slickers' type of movie. It has all the fun of youthful innocence, along with some serious issues of coming of age and of how tough it is to be a good parent.
It features a 'way out west' style of summer camp, with various competitions of canoeing, fishing, river races, football games, and a greased pig form of calf tying, along with camp outs, dances, and much, much more. The ranch camp itself is situated along a beautiful river set against gorgeous desert mountain vistas, offering great scenic shots of Arizona.
Like every camp, there are good guys, bad guys, and a wise head master. However, "Arizona Summer" goes much deeper with important lessons of growing up and of being a good dad that will make you laugh and cry but end up feeling good. With hit songs from Hoku, a great score by Edwin M. Willmington, and a story that will make every kid want to go to an Arizona ranch camp, "Arizona Summer" has all the makings of a solid box office hit and a classic family film that will play to many generations now and in the future.
